DEANNA O'BRIEN VANDIXHORN March 4, 1947 - Friday, May 9, 2008

1975: (Mrs. James Killbreath), 309 E. Main St., Epworth, IA Deanna married James Killbreath who is a football coach and teacher at Western Dubuque High School. Deanna attended the University of Iowa for one year and Upper Iowa College for a year. She currently is working as a teller and secretary. They have two daughters Krista Kathleen 4 years old, and Tamra Joy, 3 years old.

1985: Deanna O'BRIEN Jacob does bookkeeping for American Acceptance Corporation, LTD, of Iowa City. Her husband, Jim, is a structural engineer for Hansen, Lind, Meyer of Iowa City. They have two children, Krista Kathleen (13) and Tamra O'Brien (12). Deanna lists her interests as playing bridge, skiing, keeping up with two active girls and enjoying good friends. Jim enjoys chasing women, farming, hunting and target shooting. The Jacob's live on 40 acres of land east of Solon. They have acquired cows, horses, dogs and cats. Deanna has drawn the line with chickens and pigs. She is now even experienced with driving the tractor and baling hay. Their address is: RR 4, Box 70D, Solon, IA

Deanna O'Brien Vandixhorn of Huntington,West Virginia, was taken from our midst on Friday, May 9, 2008, at her home on Collis Avenue. 

Deanna was 61 years of age, born on March 4, 1947, in Iowa City, Iowa, a daughter of the late Edwin and Helen Brant O'Brien.  She was most recently employed at Sitel of Huntington and of the Methodist faith.

Sadly left behind are two beautiful daughters, Tamra Jacob and her partner, Steve Bentley of Rush, and Krista Jacob and her husband, James Oliver of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Edwin O'Brien and wife Jane of Iowa City, Larry O'Brien and his wife, Leslie of Whirlin, Oregon, and Terry O'Brien of Iowa City; and three precious grandsons, Gregory Bentley, Max Jacob-Oliver and Colin Jacob-Oliver.

 A solemn memorial to honor and remember Deanna will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg.  Bobby Ekers and the Reverend Michael Rice will share words of comfort and inspiration.  Those wishing to call, may do so after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, tributes may be made to New Hope, c/o Calvary Episcopal Church, 1337 Winchester Ave., Ashland, KY
