MARK TENBORG  July 26, 1947 - Dec. 5, 1983

Mark E. Tenborg, 36, of Iowa City, a correctional officer at the Iowa Security Medical Facility, died Dec. 5, 1983, at Mercy Hospital following a long illness.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, with Rev. Roy Wingate officiating. Burial was at Solon Cemetery and memorials may be made to Gloria Dei church.

Mr. Tenborg was born July 26, 1947, in Estherville, the son of Roy E. and Donna (Gilbaugh) Tenborg. He married Patricia A. Thomsen on Oct. 18, 1974, in Rock Island, Ill. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and AFSCME.

Survivors include his wife Patricia; his parents of Solon; two daughters, Kari Jean and Kasi Ann, both at home; one brother, Gary Tenborg of Graham, Wash.; two sisters, Gayle M. Tenborg of Tulsa, Okla., and Anne E. Tenborg of Albert Lea, Minn.
