MARILYN HUGHES MANN  Nov. 18, 1946 - Oct. 28, 1998

1975: (Mrs. Steve Mann), 1823 Kathlin Dr., Iowa City, IA Marilyn is married to Steve Mann, a '63 graduate of City High. They have a boy, Stephen Michael, age 9. Steve is a graphic specialist and Marilyn is a secretary. She enjoys bridge and gardening.

1985: Marilyn is a partner in a white water rafting company assisting in coordinating the trips (including food preparation for all the meals). Most of the trips are for 15-18 people, so it takes a lot of food!! She also works as a secretary for Intel, an electronics firm. She really enjoys living in Arizona and is hoping to leave her 8-5 job to become a full time river runner. She will be unable to attend the reunion since she will be on a white water trip on the Green River. Marilyn would love to see some fellow Iowans on a future raft trip. Marilyn J. Mann, age 51 of Winfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998 at University Hospital in Iowa City.   The daughter of Wilbur and Ruth Hughes, she was born Nov. 18, 1946 in Iowa City.  She graduated from City High in Iowa City and worked as an insurance adjuster for many years.

Survivors include one son, Stephen Mann, Ludlow, MO, one granddaughter, one step-grandson and one brother, Richard Hughes, Winfield.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services were held Friday, Oct. 30, 1998 at 10 a.m. at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery in Winfield.  The body has been cremated and there was no visitation. Honts Funeral Home of Winfield was in charge of arrangements.
