Joseph Rogers

Joseph E. Rogers, 68, of Iowa City, died Wednesday, September 07, 2016, at Mercy Hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 6 pm Saturday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, where visitation will be from 4pm till services on Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Harris) Rogers; their children, Randall (Beth) Rogers, Tamara (Mark) Stevens, Denny (Jackie) Verry, David (Stephanie) Verry and many grandchildren.

My sympathy to Joe's family...I lived on Dewey St. and way back then the park was called plain old Brown Street park, now Happy Hollow...yes, we used to sled down the hill in winter and ice skate, too...good memories.  May he rest in peace.
