Martin L. Evans, 70, of Rock Island, Illinois died Saturday, April 15, 2017, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

Martin was born February 22, 1947 in Osage, Iowa, to Clifford and Leona Barker Evans. He married Kay Sladek on December 9, 1967, and they were later divorced. He was a millwright with the Teamsters Union. He was a loving father and grandfather, and was community minded, donating to many charities.

Martin is survived by his son, Brian Evans, and two grandchildren, Cheyanne and Skyler Evans, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a brother, Doug Evans of Rochester, New York.
